NetSupport Host Their Latest Business Continuity Open Day
02/06/2010

Making Business Continuity and BS25999 work for you’ was the theme as local business leaders and business continuity planners gathered at NetSupport’s Market Deeping HQ for a recent Open Day hosted by NetSupport and their specialist Risk Management partners BGG Associates and CWL Systems.

As one of the leading providers in the region, a fact confirmed by the company’s recent nomination for Specialist Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Supplier of the Year at the National Business Continuity Awards, NetSupport are well qualified to advise businesses on the need for effective Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery planning.

The aim of the day was to provide delegates with an overview of business continuity and how the British Standard BS25999* can improve their business processes. After opening presentations by NetSupport’s Ravi Pathak, BGG’s David Gregory and Nick Lee from CWL, delegates were split into groups for a practical exercise where they were able to apply some of their learning into their own context.

The day concluded with a tour of NetSupport’s recently extended Disaster Recovery facility.

After a successful day, Ravi Pathak commented; “Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Planning is high on the agenda for many businesses so it was good to be able to bring the subject into sharp focus for those who attended.”

Chris Banks from Bluestone Creative Ltd certainly benefitted from attending; “The facilities at NetSupport are wonderful and it was great to be able to see them. The whole day was very informative and well worth the time.”

NetSupport are planning further Open Days throughout 2010. To register your interest please email Ravi Pathak.

*About BS25999
Produced by the British Standards Institution (BSI), BS25999 has been developed to help organisations plan for and minimise the disruptions caused by a major or minor disruption to services.

It contains a comprehensive set of requirements based on Business Continuity Management (BCM) best practice and covers the whole BCM lifecycle.

BS25999 is suitable for any organisation, large or small, from any sector. It is particularly relevant for organisations that operate in high risk environments such as finance, telecommunications, transport and the public sector, where the ability to continue operating is paramount for the organisation, its customers and stakeholders.
